About the property
Casa Del Sapo is a superb 4 bedroom detached villa set in a small rural development of 12 individually designed villas each standing on minimum 21/2 acre plots. There are magnificent views of the Cabrera mountains and surrounding countryside from the villas hilltop position. Tranquil and completely private, the villa is equipped to an extremely high standard and has recently been fitted with full air conditioning and central heating.
The Villa is spacious and ideally suited to accommodate two families of four.
Standing in a Hectare (2.5 acre) plot in completely rural surroundings, Casa del Sapo offers all round stunning mountain and rural views. Despite this it is only about 3 kilometres from the main coastal motorway, 10 minutes drive from shops and bars and 15 minutes from numerous beaches at either Mojacar or Garrucha. Our nearest village is Los Gallardos and you will find a weekly market and several bars here as well as a 'Spar' type small supermarket. The quiet life is the order of the day here.
Whilst you will find English spoken in many of the beach front restaurants, once you move a little inland this is often not the case.
There are stunning mountain and countryside views to all sides of the villa and a 'peep' view of the sea from the kitchen window. Figs, almonds, pomegranates and wild herbs grow freely.
Due to the location of the Villa the use of a car is essential.
The Villa is a two hour drive south from Alicante airport or 45 minutes from Almeria Airport, largely by Toll Free Autovia.
Inside the property
Accommodation
The villa is fitted with the latest central heating system and is fully air conditioned for your comfort.
The accommodation includes 2 double bedded rooms, each with its own en-suite bath/shower room. In addition there are 2 twin bedded rooms which share the use of the main bathroom. All bedding and towels, excepting beach/pool towels, are provided. A change of bedding is available at any time during your stay, upon request.
Three of the bedrooms have direct patio door access to balcony/patio areas and the fourth has a small ' Juliet' type balcony. There is a large lounge (with satellite T.V., DVD and CD Player), spacious dining room and fully equipped kitchen and utility room. All bedrooms are provided with either free standing or ceiling mounted fans in addition to being fully air conditioned.
Kitchen equipment includes an eye level oven, corner hob with extractor fan, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster and breakfast bar. An iron and ironing board are provided should you feel the need!!
There is a further fridge freezer and washing machine in the utility room.
Outside the property
Patio and Pool Areas
The main patio and pool area is at the rear of the property. The pool is kidney shaped, approximately 9 x 5 metres in size and is fitted with underwater lighting. There is a separate pool house with its own W.C., hand basin and outside shower. The pool area can be gated off to prevent access to small children. In addition the pool area has a large built in barbeque.
The Villa has extensive patio areas to the rear and front of the property and sun loungers are, of course, provided. The front patio boasts elevated panoramic views over open countryside to the Sierra Cabrera mountains beyond.
For outside dining the villa provides the choice of 2 shaded porches each opening out from the main dining room.
About the local area
Things to do - other than, of course, lazing by the pool, swimming in the sea, eating and drinking in the beach bars!
Fifteen minutes by car from the villa is a large Water Park with slides, water chutes and pools. An ideal place for kids and adults alike - but make sure you have built up your tan first!
On the way home why not try your hand at Karting - there is a track situated just outside Garrucha.
If you envisage something a little more leisurely why not try horse riding. We particularly like Rancho Cabrera which is perched high in the Sierra Cabrera mountains which the Villa faces. English owned and suitable for riders of all abilities. If you ever fancied your self as a cowboy this is for you!
If history and culture are more your cup of tea then a day trip to Granada is recommended. The city is only two hours drive away and home of the world famous Moorish Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens.
Or maybe play a round of Golf or two.
