About the property
Casa Rene is a large mainly open plan house with stunning views of the sleepy village of El Cotillo, the surrounding mountains & the glorious beaches. Cotillo is renowned for its non-polluted air quality, it's magnificent golden surf beaches & silver sand lagoons, where small children & toddlers can play & bathe safely in the lapping blue water. Cotillo is blessed with 10 or more superb restaurants, mostly with harbor or sea views, a large supermarket, 2 banks, a french bakery and a few souvenir style shops but it is not a hot spot tourist resort!! Inside the property
One the ground floor the house has a very large entrance hall, (sofa bed for extra guest) with a double bed room & a twin bedroom. These share a shower, loo and sink. On the first floor is the huge open plan kitchen /diner /lounge area with a long Juliette balcony accessed by french sliding doors. On this level there is also a smaller twin bedroom but with en-suite facilities which include a bath, shower, bidet & loo. Finally the ground floor to 2nd floor sweeping spiral staircase leads to the washing machine room and roof terrace with panoramic views. Outside the property
The house is situated 200 meters from the new harbor with 3 restaurants, and a cafe. A short stroll to the left takes you to the miles of golden sand surf beaches, a 15 minute stroll to the right of the house takes you through the village to the silver sand lagoons, unique not only to Fuerteventura, but to the whole of the Canary Islands. They are beautiful!! You never need to leave the village with its shops, bars and cafes but a car would be useful. Because Cotillo is on the North west coast you will be delighted on a daily basis with stunning sunset views over the sea.

About the local area
The nearest major town to Cotillo is Corralejo, a large (if not ugly) holiday resort which has many, many more shops, bars & cafes than Cotillo, also a water park and adventure play ground for the children but also is famous for its magnificent sand dunes, now a national park, and definitely worth a visit. There is a golf course next to Calleta de Fuste situated by the airport (another fairly ugly resort with man-made beaches!!!)www.fuerteventura-cotillo.com
Traveling to the property
